Arriving early or bringing forward your reservation: How does it work?

Sometimes your plans change and you arrive at the parking location earlier than expected. In this article, we explain how to advance your reservation and what to do if this is not possible via the app.

1. Advancing start time (Early entry)

Do you want to enter earlier than the reserved start time? This is often possible directly via the MyWay app, provided you arrive within a certain timeframe.

• Within 1 hour before start: From 1 hour before the official start time of your reservation, an "Early entry" button will automatically appear in the app.

• Payment: When using this feature, you pay an additional amount for the extra parking time. Once you confirm the payment in the app, you can enter immediately.

• Location restrictions: Please note, this feature is only available if the parking location technically supports it. Don’t see the button even though you are within an hour of the start time? Then this specific location unfortunately does not support "early entry."

2. What to do if there is more than an hour difference?

Are you arriving more than an hour earlier than planned? Then the "Early entry" button will not yet be visible.

• Cancel and rebook: In this case, the best solution is to cancel your current reservation and make a new reservation that starts immediately.

• No "Early Entry" possible: Even if the location does not support the "Early entry" button at all (even within the hour), cancelling and rebooking is the only way to gain earlier access to the garage.

3. Advancing end time

It is currently not possible to advance the end time of an existing reservation.

When you make a reservation, the spot is held and paid for in advance for the entire chosen period. If you leave earlier than planned, you can simply end the parking action in the app upon exiting. However, there will be no refund for the remaining time of the reservation.

4. Cancelling a reservation

Are your new times significantly different from the original reservation, or would you prefer to start over because of an early arrival?

• Cancellation conditions: Always check the conditions of your booking first. You can often cancel for free up to a certain time before the start.
